FALL BALL

Fall ball is predominantly a learning league that should keep kids having fun as they adapt to the next level of baseball. Fall ball is generally seen as a developmental league for young players to improve their skills and get ready for the next level of baseball. Fall ball is also a little more relaxed and a little less competitive than the regular season. The focus is to prepare for the next level of baseball: learning the new rules, getting used to the bigger field dimensions (and the bigger players in the next age bracket), and developing the skills necessary to play at a competent level with their peers.

FALL BALL is an instructional baseball league –
The basic fundamentals of baseball are the building blocks of the game. A successful player must be able to hit the ball, field the ball, throw it and run the bases.

Instructional league is where players get into the specifics of the game. The difference between major league players and minor league players is consistency, not the players’ size and strength. Major league players have learned to produce day after day. If the players learn, work hard and succeed here, then their baseball fundamentals will be one less thing they’ll have to worry about when the games matter.

Because Athletic Edge’s Fall Ball program is instructional, we do not keep score (except for a fun mid-season tournament that lets them put into practice what they’ve been learning) and therefore do not need umpires. It is an opportunity for your baseball player to improve on the fundamentals of baseball. This is a non-competitive environment that is all about baseball skills improvement that will help your child in Little League and later on in high school should they decide to keep on playing.

We love baseball and we love to teach your kids excellent baseball skills.
